Our renovated Cape Cod–style home is surrounded by beautiful large trees and views of the Boise foothills. The deck off of the kitchen and dining room acts as an extension of our living space, perching us up in the trees for a closer view of our beautiful Idaho skies. We live in a coveted foothills neighborhood with tree-lined winding, climbing streets. The neighborhood was developed in the 1950s and is an eclectic mix of architectural styles. Many people in this neighborhood grew up here and chose to move back to raise their families. Crane Creek Country Club is a big draw of the area; many people (including us) have golf carts and drive them to and from the club.

I’m a native northern Californian (Bay Area) who feels fortunate to have lived in Idaho for 14 years. My husband Carey is from Wyoming and has been in Boise for 36 years. We are mom and dad to 5 “kids” ages 28, 22, 19, 17 and 15, and of course, two beloved Bernedoodle pups, Junie and Gigi! We love to travel, golf, play tennis, entertain, hike in the foothills and throughout our neighborhood. Both my husband and I are very involved in the community and are active volunteers and contributors to Boise State University, Bishop Kelly High School, Assistance League of Boise and Family Advocates among others. I recently returned from a trip to Turkey to see my family (my mom is Turkish) which inspired me to incorporate a Turkish rug and vintage kilim pillows into our deck’s outer space.
