I previously worked as an elementary school teacher and a human resource manager. I am now retired and enjoy pottery, hiking, gardening, and knitting. My husband and I enjoy supporting our local art community as well. From our deck, we can see the Blue Ridge Mountains and hear a nearby bubbling stream and waterfall. We love to relax outside with a book or a glass of wine when it’s the two of us or grill and eat outside when we entertain guests. Recently, we added a covered timber frame porch to our deck. Our climate allows us to use the space for at least three out of four seasons and we do, usually visiting outside with neighbors and friends as we marvel at the beauty of the changing scenery.
