Doug is a commercial airline pilot, and I am a real estate banker. Doug cycles every day (either indoors on a trainer, or outdoors), and I love to run and cook. We both also start our day by reading newspapers, and love to sit outside and read. We just finished redesigning our backyard by removing the swing set and building a pool and spa. We love to sit outdoors and entertain, so we wanted a space that was chic for our adult guests, but durable enough to survive teenagers as well as dogs that love to play in the backyard. We brought in 23 truckloads of dirt to expand our backyard beyond the new pool area, so there’s lots of playing in the backyard and lounging by the pool, as well as in the new fire pit area. We just acquired an orange antique table from a German beer hall that we are also pretty excited to use!
