Chicago Family’s Lush Garden-Centric Backyard

I’m an accountant for a full-immersion French school that my two children have attended since they were three-year-olds. When we’re at home, we love spending time in our lush backyard, which is very private, with very mature trees and plants. I love spending time lounging on my Teak 4-Seat L Sectional, reading, or having a glass of wine with my dog (weather-permitted). The large silver maple tree that provides plenty of shade and privacy in the hot summer months grew from a seed after I moved in 15 years ago. It’s now as tall as my three-story house! I love to add new plants in the flower beds, mixing colors and textures. I also have raspberry bushes. Some evenings, I entertain friends outside, we BBQ and stay out late talking and drinking wine.
