I’m an attorney who loves to work out (primarily lifting, but have but have been boxing for ~13 years as well), and as a result, love to relax at home and watch a new movie or TV. I also love hosting friends, grilling, trying new foods, and traveling when I can. My outdoor space is not only another living room, or even a floor, it is its own universe. My space is rare in Chicago, as few buildings around me have roof decks. In addition to fresh air and an amazing view, I have a built-in grill, sink, and outdoor fridge on one end (with my Outer), and a hot tub on the other. I also have a dog door and custom synthetic grass for Ellie (that sweet Goldendoodle). It's a great space for entertaining, relaxing, and recharging.

A Dream Rooftop Deck in Chicago’s Wicker Park

We live on the third floor of a three-unit condo in Chicago's Wicker Park neighborhood, so the entire roof belongs to us! It's huge and has a fantastic view of the Chicago skyline. We had composite deck installed across the whole thing in the summer of 2020. We also have a dining table and chairs, a pergola, our Wicker Sectional, two roomy rocking chairs and two chaise loungers. It’s truly a magical place where we have dance parties, BBQs, a kiddie pool (in summer) so our dogs can run up and down and cool off with a quick splash. We love hosting dinners and parties, too.

A Rooftop with Chicago Skyline Views

We moved last summer and were able to fully enjoy the rooftop on our three-story walk-up building this summer. It has a beautiful view of the Chicago skyline. We love grilling, lounging on our Brown Wicker 3-Seat Sofa and Armchairs, and hosting friends and family. The kiddos have a mini pool they play in. Last spring, I got a few evergreens and some other plants to compliment the space and make it feel homie. The weather is getting crispy now and are looking forward to enjoy some s’mores on the fireplace and doing some pumpkin carving.

I have the best roof deck in Chicago, which houses my Aluminum 3-Seat Sofa, Armchairs and Teak Coffee Table. It’s a big deck. I’ve had parties for 50+ people, including two weddings. Killer views of the skyline, sunset, and Wrigley Field. It’s great for morning coffee, lunch/brunch, cocktails, and fantastic dinner parties.
